Statistics 2
Building on the foundations of Statistics 1, this course dives deeper into inferential statistics. We will explore how to draw conclusions from data using hypothesis testing, analyze relationships between variables with regression, and compare groups using ANOVA.
Course Syllabus
Week 1: Introduction to Inferential Statistics
Understanding the transition from descriptive to inferential statistics, sampling distributions, and the Central Limit Theorem.
Week 2: Hypothesis Testing
The core framework for making decisions based on data. Null and Alternative hypotheses, p-values, and significance levels.
Week 3: Regression Analysis
Modeling relationships between variables. Simple Linear Regression, correlation, and prediction.
Week 4: ANOVA
Comparing means across multiple groups. One-way ANOVA and the F-distribution.
